Pictures Of Wedding Reception Table Ideas Questions Answered!

  1. How to print words on pictures?

As part of me and my fiance's centerpiece at our wedding reception, we are going to have our pictures in frames, with the lyrics of our favorite love songs, printed over them. At each table, there will be a different set of lyrics. I know exactly how I want everything to look, but I can't figure out how to do it. So my question is: How can I have our picture be the background and have words over it in a way that you can make out the pictures? If anyone has any ideas as to how to do this, it'd be much appreciated.

  2. Any creative ideas for a wedding reception table with pictures of the couple (read details)?

We are wanting to devote one table to pictures of us (and a couple of our 3 yr old daughter) at our wedding reception. We thought the guests would enjoy seeing different photographs of us over the years. I'm looking for ideas on how to do this. I love being crafty so I'm up for some suggestions. Should I just use frames or make a collage? I'd love to hear your ideas. :)

  3. What are some fun ideas for activities at a church hall wedding reception?

I am getting married in May. We are doing all of our photos before the wedding, and getting married in a church at 2, with a reception in the church hall right afterward, it will be punch/finger foods/cake reception. We still plan to do some speeches, the cake cutting and garter/bouquet toss. Does anyone have any other ideas of things that we could do for activities seeing as we will be having no dancing or drinks and it will be early - mid afternoon? Thank you!

  4. What would be a really awesome center piece on a table?

Like for a wedding reception or party. Have you ever seen one that was really cool? or do you have a great idea for one?

  5. I need ideas for a Vegas-themed wedding reception, but my main color is royal blue?

I'm getting married in December 2012 in Las Vegas and am having a reception in Wisconsin the following February. My main colors are Royal Blue, Silver, and Black, but I'd like to have a Vegas theme. Any suggestions, pictures, links, and/or ideas? I am doing most of the planning and have a very tight budget, so the cheaper. the better or any DIY ideas would be great! Thanks!

  6. What should an hors d'oeuvres wedding reception timeline look like?

We're having a short wedding...the ceremony is 3:00-3:30pm, and we want the reception to end by 6pm since we're not serving a full dinner. We are going to have hors d'oeuvres, and we definitely want to include cake cutting, first dances and toasts. Does anyone have a good idea for a timeline? Let people start eating right away? When we get done taking pictures should we do the dances first so that people know they can dance?

  7. Ideas for Decorating Wedding reception tables?

Anyone have any ideas to decorate the tables @ my wedding reception in May? My colors are pool blue, black and white. The theme is daisies. I am planning on framing a picture on either side of the each table that will have a picture of family and friends on their wedding day...but other than that I'm drawing a big blank. Also how much should I decorate the ceremony and the platform and such? I've been told I really don't have to considering my wedding party is so large, but I just wanted second opinions. My wedding party is 22 people. Thanks for the advice.

  8. Has anyone out there been to/ had a wedding reception held in a church building?

How did it work out? Were you still able to create a nice atmosphere for the reception? I know alcohol is a no-go, but I was planning on cutting out the booze anyway. Any thoughts, ideas, experiences?

  9. To everyone that has been to a wedding reception - what could have made it more fun? or less boring?

We are having a wedding reception - and I dont want anyone to be bored (especially the men who get dragged into these things) What are some fun ideas to make it better? We are having drinks, we are having a photobooth, music , dancing, food... but what about the people that dont dance? drink? hate to have their picture taken, and arent going to be hungry . Does anyone have a suggestion for a game, or something they can do? Thanks!

  10. What can you do at a afternoon wedding reception?

My daughter is getting married in 2 days. It's her second wedding so its small and shes not having a dj or music. It is at a hall and I was wondering is there is anything else we can plan except the obvious mingling with our friends and family? Is it appropriate if she opened up her cards/gifts there? We have cameras on the tables for picture taking. Does anyone have any other ideas of what we can do within the 3-4 hour time that is allowed?

  11. Does anyone know of some cute ideas for getting the bride and groom to kiss at the wedding reception?

I've heard of some really great ideas such as making the table get up and sing the first bar of a love song, etc. Basically I'm just looking for something cute and memorable, but not outlandish to get the bride and groom to kiss at the wedding reception. I want it to have to be a little bit harder than ringing bells or clinking glasses. Anyone have any good ideas?
