How do i figure out what to go to college for?

I want to go to college but I am not sure what I want to do.Can you give some ideas?I am not very good at math.I love kids and animals.I love sports and am really good at them.I worked at a hospital on the crisis team.I* also wanted to be a police officer for a little while. But now I changed my mind.I love Science.

Details:

  1. be a junior high science teacher, and coach the soccer/baseball/insert sport here team on the side.
  2. Unless you're taking a really specialized program like Architecture or Engineering, you can go into most colleges as an undecided major. Take a year of a variety classes and see where your niche is. You don't have to decide right away. Some things to consider: 1. Do I enjoy this? Would I be happy doing this all day every day? (And remember, many people don't do anything in the field connected to their major either!) 2. Can I make a living doing this? If you're going to rack up $100,000 in debt and major in sociology and women's studies, you're going to spend the rest of your life paying off that debt. Not to say you shouldn't major in those things, but being able to put a roof over your head and food on the table is something to consider. There are also a lot of unusual majors out there. I combined my love of the water and sailing with my talent to draw and design - and majored in Naval architecture. I created a job out of designing custom sailboats, and then being a part of the building as well. It's not something everyone can or wants to do, but it worked out very well for me. Something else you can do - if you're interested in a field, go talk to some people in that field. See what they actually DO all day. Volunteer somewhere that you can see the ins and outs of the jobs available. Good luck! And remember - you'll have more success doing what you love than what you hate. Maybe not monetarily, but in satisfaction.
