I'm having a black, white and yellow color scheme for my wedding - Got any ideas?

I have chosen black, white and bright yellow as the color scheme for my wedding. I am looking for some ideas on table center pieces and unique decor ideas. Any inspiration?

Details:

  1. black for a wedding? REALLY???? Think again
  2. Tiger? LOL. there's black, white and bright yellow, which some tigers have. LOL whatever. Or you can do a day-to-night scheme. Partly of the decor would be representing daylight, afternoon and midnight. Daylight-White Afternoon-Yellow Midnight-Black So it also represents that you and your husband will be day and night together forever till ripe age. Well, that's my idea.. Hope I've helped (:
  3. I think this might have all the answers http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://weddingdimension.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/07-detail.jpg&imgrefurl=http://weddingdimension.wordpress.com/2008/07/10/black-white-and-yellow-weddings/&usg=__uLNQMZiT5ay_ui3Q8Z5SVwlSMwg=&h=650&w=850&sz=83&hl=en&start=5&um=1&tbnid=CvvdWrHsySiuZM:&tbnh=111&tbnw=145&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dblack%2Bwhite%2Band%2Byellow%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:*%26sa%3DN
  4. Yes. Get one of them huge wedding cakes that people pop out of at parties, only have a Larry "Bud" Melman look-alike dressed in a tux pop out and holler, "Cock-a-Doodle-Do!" Should be lots of fun.
  5. White.
  6. It makes me think "bumblebee." If you had a garden theme - adding a bumblebee touch could be quite cute..a "bee mine forever" type theme. But if you aren't looking for cutesy I would agree about using yellow as a smaller accent like in the flowers on the centerpieces and keeping black and white as main colors.
  7. Keep the table clothes white, and use black vases with white/yellow flowers, something like this: http://www.hostessblog.com/wp-content/uploads/uploaded_images/blackandyellowpartytheme.jpg It will not only look stunning, but it will give it a great spash of color. You can also use this as a uinque centerpiece: http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l224/meofcourse80/P6130103.jpg Easily made, just take an empty cylindar glass jar, and wrap it with black and white fabric, and adhere a pretty yellow flower to it. :)
  8. I had black and white polka dots mixed with hot pink accent colors. You could ask relative friends for old black and white pictures of weddings and place them on the tables. We did this at out wedding and everyone loved going to each table to look at the pictures and figure out who it was. You could put it in a yellow frame or put a yellow bow on it. There are also tons of black and white pictures online you could use. You could make each table a different black and white theme and then have the napkins, plates, whatever be yellow.
  9. Hey. Those are the exact same colour I am having but mine is black and white damask with strong yellow highlights. Try this link for a beautiful wedding of this theme to see it all put together: http://community.theknot.com/cs/ks/user/page.aspx?username=springchic&MsdVisit=1 Here are some inspiration boards and pics to get you started, it is what I am going off for planning: http://www.flickr.com/photos/28496874@N03/ If you need help with what things are in the photos are and where you can buy them send me an email and I'll help if I can.
  10. I would use primarily black and white. Then add random highlights of yellow to make the yellow be more dramatic. For example: *white table clothes, yellow napkins, and possibly tall black & white branches as a centerpiece. *if the centerpieces are short, then black napkins and yellow centerpieces
