How to Decorate for a Baby Shower.?

I am throwing a baby block themed baby shower and need a few more ideas for decorations. I have a little block centerpiece and am thinking about decorating with toy baby blocks around the cake tables and with balloons. Does anyone have any other ideals or do you think those things will be enough?

  1. You could go to Target and buy their 96piece package of Alphabet Blocks (back in Toys). It runs for around $15.00. You could hot glue letters together to spell baby's name and other fun baby-associated words! Now Walmart has a 32 (or so) piece set and those letters are MUCH bigger...you could do something similar with those. The cake could be a baby block cake.....bake rectangular cakes, and then stack them 3 or 4 layers high. Cut them into squares and then decorate with icing to create a baby block effect. Or if you want to get really fancy you could use Martha's advice: http://www.marthastewart.com/article/baby-block-cake Baby Block favor boxes: http://www.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=2106795 This is also a good site with some decorations: http://www.babyshowerstuff.com/blockstheme.html Good luck, hope this helped!
